My foray into the urban fantasy genre began with a single thought:
What would happen if a young woman in the prime of her life lost everything? And what if she rose to overcome her demons as a result of it?
That thought, and vision, eventually became chapter 1 of The Scarlet Jane Files.
Featuring a strong, young black woman as the protagonist, and a dynamic casts of characters both human and not, the Scarlet Jane Files follows a young woman from the heights of victory to the depths of her own personal hell, and her evolution as she faces and attempts to conquer the monsters in not only her world, but those inside her head.
